About This Location

The Great Rann of Kutch is the world's largest salt marsh — 7,500 sq km of brilliant white salt crystalline desert at the edge of the Thar. During the dry season (October to March), the Rann becomes a flat, endless mirror of white stretching to the horizon. At full moon, the white desert glowing silver under the stars is arguably the most surreal landscape in India. The Rann Utsav festival adds colour, culture, and energy.
